The Challenge
The Challenge is to TRY to run 28 half marathons in all 28 EU member countries before Monday 1st April 2019 starting with our home town Half Marathon in Rochdale on Sunday October the 8th . Initially this is my challenge but Jackie will attempt to run as many as she wants , and stand in for me if I get injured . We have set up a Virgin Money Giving page as we would like to raise money for our chosen charities . The whole cost of the challenge will be met by ourselves and as an extra incentive I will donate £10.00 for every run I fail to do in under 2hrs (excluding full marathons) and £50.00 for any country not completed. I will put details of the runs on this blog and if anyone wants to join us for any of the runs we will be delighted . Most events run a full Marathon and a 10k as well.Also we would be grateful of any insider knowledge any one might have of any of the countries , a family member to stay with for example ha ha.
